We hold annual Writers' Weeks that have led to a number of exciting commissions and productions. During these weeks we invite writers to come and explore a local issue with us. These have found us, amongst other things, out in the wilds following a local fox hunt, witnessing life in an abbatoir and working shifts in a Michelin starred kitchen. The South Bank Show Award shortlisted White Open Spaces was the result of our first Writers' Week. Other weeks have produced PIGS, a series of ten minute plays inspired by the Slow Food Movement which premiered at the Edinburgh Festival and The Hunting Season where writers, allowed unprecendented access to the local hunt, asked just what it is about this centuries old tradition that continues to drive such a wedge between town and country.
See our Current Programme Page for details of this year's Week MAY FAIR which we'll be taking to LATITUDE.
