Spring is in the air as the May Fair comes to town, turning normal life on its head. In a tradition that reaches back hundreds of years this sleepy market town is transformed into a bustling and frenetic fairground, where social barriers are broken down and anyone can be king for a day.
As night falls so the celebrations take on a darker edge, but for young and old the May Fair becomes a place where lovers meet, dreamers dream and where history has a habit of repeating itself.
Pentabus invited five of the UK’s finest writers to spend a weekend at the fair and cook something up for this year's Latitude Festival. And so, we hope you'll join us there, to look beyond the noise and neon and to catch a glimpse of another world, of romance, possibility and opportunity.
